Stephen BurnsStephen died peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family at the Mayo Hospice on Friday 13th October 2023.

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Delia Burns, Belcarra, Castlebar and his parents in law Lawrence and Alice Cahill, Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Waterford.

Dearly loved husband of Brid née Cahill and  loving  father of  Orla and Alan, adored grandad of Clodagh, Kaylin, Ailish and Ruth.

He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his wife, daughter, son, grandchildren, son-in-law Tom, daughter-in-law Pauline, his sisters Kathleen Healy  (Milltown,  Tuam), Mary Burns (Belcarra) and Nora Coyne (Partry), his brothers-in-law,  sisters-in-law, his niece, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Stephen will repose in Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar

F23 HT38 on Sunday 15th October from 5.30pm to 7.00pm.

The funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Rosary on Monday for Funeral Mass at 11.00am.

Afterwards Stephen will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Newport Road, Castlebar.

The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on www.churchtv.ie/castlebar.ie  or it can be listened to on Castlebar Parish Radio 105.3FM
