Westleigh House, Rathbawn Road, Castlebar, Co. Mayo and formerly of Leigh, Lancashire, U.K. – peacefully, at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar on 10th May 2026.
Predeceased by her parents Michael and Mary (née McGee) and her beloved granddaughter Nikita O’Malley in February 2021.
Loving wife of Michael (formerly of Cross, Louisburgh) and loving mother of Margaret O’Malley, Kathleen O’Malley and Michael.She will be sadly missed and never forgotten by her husband, daughters , sons and cherished grandchildren Steven, Shone, Jennifer, Rachel and Vicki and her adored great-grandchildren Archie and Teddy, her sons-in-law Vincent and Noel and her daughter -in-law Deirdre, her brother and sisters, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
May she rest in peace.
Helen will repose at Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar (F23 FD90) on Tuesday from 6pm, followed by prayers at 8pm.
The funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar on Wednesday at 10.40am for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock.
Afterwards Helen will be laid to rest in Castlebar New Cemetery, Newport Road, Castlebar.
The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on www.churchtv.ie/castlebar or can be listened to in Castlebar on Castlebar Parish Radio 105.3fm.
