No 2 Cherrington Place, Moneen, Castlebar and formerly of Boston, Massachusetts, USA - suddenly at his home on 14th April 2021.

Loving husband of the late Mary Bridget Collins nee Carolan formerly of Bangor Erris who died on 6th April 2021. 

Edward Francis CollinsSon of the late Edby and Freda May nee Orne and brother of the late Jackie and Kevin.

He will be sadly missed by  his sorrowing daughters Heather and Christina and their partners Shane and Mark; his sons Eddy and Edzo; brother John; sisters Terry and Cindy; grandchildren Avery and Fia; brothers-in-law Paul, Ed, John and Hughie; sisters-in-law Michelle, Breege and Annie; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and many friends especially his best friend Danny and family (USA).

Edward served as an Army Medic in the United States Army and later as a painter and carpenter.

His favourite hobby was fishing and he spent many happy hours fishing in the many rivers and lakes in his adopted county of Mayo.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Removal will take place from his home on Saturday, 17th April at 10.45am arriving at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar for Funeral Mass at 11.30am.

Afterwards Edward will be laid to rest with his beloved Mary in the New Cemetery, Newport Road, Castlebar.
