John (Johnny) Kerrigan

The death has occurred, peacefully after a short illness, at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar, on 23rd April 2022, of John Kerrigan, better known as Johnny, Parks, Clogher, Claremorris. Predeceased by his parents Martin and Mary Kerrigan nee Walsh, (Parks, Clogher) and his brothers Martin James (Lower Parks, Clogher) and Tom (Manchester). Dearly loved husband of John KerriganMaureen nee Meeneghan and loving father of Michael (Parks), Phil Roper (Carnacon), Anne Jordan (Killawalla) and Bridie Heneghan (Ballintubber). He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, grandchildren, daughter-in-law Anne, sons-in-law Tony, Peter and Sean, nephew Neil, niece Finola, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May he rest in peace.

Johnny was employed by the Office of Public works for some years and he also worked on Carnacon Church and in Ballinafad College. In more recent years he was the Caretaker in Carnacon National School, but his greatest love was farming which he enjoyed all his life.

Johnny will lie in repose at Carnacon Community Centre on Monday 25th April from 6.00pm to 8.00pm followed by private removal to his home. The funeral will arrive at St. Mary's Church, Carnacon on Tuesday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Afterwards Johnny will be laid to rest in Ballintubber Abbey Cemetery.
