He was aged 72 - unexpectedly at his home on 2nd October.

Predeceased by his parents James and Annie (nee Carney) and brother Johnny (Ballymacragh) and Jimmy (UK) and his sister-in-law Mary Kelly.

Frank BurkeDearly loved husband of Kathleen (née Mulchrone, Newport) and loving father of Caroline and Claire.

He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, daughters and their partners, sister Maureen  Bullimore (Liverpool),  brothers-in-law John Joe and Paddy Mulchrone, Chris Kelly and Richard Bullimore, sisters-in-law Julie Burke, Christine Burke, Patsy Mulchrone and Ann Mulchrone, nephews,  nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May He Rest in Peace.

Frank worked with Castlebar Town Council (Urban Council) until his retirement a few years ago. He loved the outdoors farming and fishing. He was a great animal lover and his dog Jack was his best friend and constant companion. Frank relaxed listening to Mid West Radio and was a regular listener to the Michael Commons show.

Frank was well respected and held in high regard by his former colleagues in the Council and by his neighbours who he was always willing to help. He will be missed in Ballymacragh and beyond.

Reposing at Kilcoyne's Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar from 6pm until 7.30 on Tuesday.

Arriving at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar on Wednesday 5th October for Funeral Mass at 11.30am.  Afterwards Frank will be laid to rest in the Old Cemetery, Castlebar.
